Appointments

Appointments for surgeries and clinics may be made by telephoning 028 9032 5820 (select option 2). The practice aims to give patients an appointment within 48 hours. Maternity patients who are ill will take priority and should advice the receptionist of their pregnancy and she will ensure they are seen quickly (please note this does not include routine ante-natal visits). Emergencies and children will be seen on the same day.

Emergency Appointments

The practice facilitates patients requiring urgent medical treatment by offering emergency appointments. These appointments may only be booked within 24 hours of the appointment and only the current complaint may be discussed with the doctor.

Open Surgeries

These surgeries are held on Wednesday and Friday mornings 8.00 - 9.30. These surgeries are to facilitate patients who need to be seen quickly and we should be grateful if you would not use these appointments to consult the doctor regarding chronic ongoing medical conditions.

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.

Telephone Advice

The Doctor is available for telephone advice, please leave your name, address and telephone number and the reason why you need to speak to the doctor with the receptionist.

Remember - the receptionist or practice nurse can often deal with the enquiry.

Test Results

The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection.

We will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.
